As of May 7, 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID (or U.S. Passport, U.S. Passport Card or DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)) to board domestic flights. Driver’s licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) must have a star (and/or flag) in the upper‑right corner, or the words “Enhanced”. Visit your local DMV to learn more and make a plan to become REAL ID ready.
