Detroit

Departing and Arriving Daily

Please note that flight numbers and schedules change frequently. Also, the Saturday schedule is lighter than the other days of the week. Passengers need to check with their respective airline for exact operations.

Do's and Don'ts

  • Don't ask stupid questions.Yes, 8 Mile is a real place. No, 8 Mile isn't exactly like the movie "8 Mile."

  • Do talk about sports. Or the weather.Someone will always be there to celebrate, lament or argue with you. If you're lucky, all three.

  • Don't count on Public Transportation. The fastest way to get around is with a car and a highway. C'mon, what did you expect; you're in the Motor City.

  • Do keep your eyes open for pedestrians.People walk in the street, across the street, and around the street. That's just what happens when you don't have a car, sidewalks, or anything resembling public transportation.

  • Don't make fun of the city.No one likes to be bad-mouthed and Detroit's far from the national joke it's sometimes made out to be, so show some respect.

  • Do check out the city's atttractions (listed below) and live music.which is absolutely available, all the time, almost all over the city, and often for free. Just make sure to tip the bands.

Ground Transportation

Rental Cars

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is served by most major rental car agencies. The rental car campus is located on the northeast corner of the Airport along Lucas Drive, where each brand (or group of brands) operates its own facility connected to the terminals by their own courtesy shuttles. All rental car shuttles pick-up and drop-off at each terminal’s Ground Transportation Center. To access your rental car agency, once you have claimed any checked luggage, follow terminal signs to Ground Transportation. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended, however, courtesy phones for contacting each agency are located in each terminal’s baggage claim and Ground Transportation Center. There are no rental car desks inside the terminals.
